The coast of Durres Region extends from south in the homonymous Bay to north in the mouth of the river Ishem. The big part of the coast is plain and sandy. The coast is rocky at the hills of Durres and Cape of Rodoni. In a lot of zones of the coast woods of sea pines are extended. The hills are dressed of typical Mediterranean bushes. The coastline around Durres is spectacular and varied.
Except the zone of about 10 km around the city of Durres, the other part of the coast is intact. The beaches of Rrushkull, Hamalle and Bay of Lalez are the best and still empty of constructions. These beaches, the hills and the zones around them, are a big potential for the development of the tourism in the Durres Region. In the used part by the tourism till now and in the coastal cities also, is built an adequate infrastructure for the sector of the tourism.
