Hamalle

It is the inhabited area in the north of the Municipality of Sukthi, 12 km far from its center, also being 12 km far from the highway or 24 km far from Durrësi. Less then 30 km bring you to Hamalle from the national airport “Mother Tereza”. The entire relieve is flat and in the west part for more than 5 km it is limited by sea. Thus, in this territory there is the same surface of beaches, which in the south meet with the beaches of Rrushkull and in the north with those of Gjiri i Lalezit (Bay of Lalezi). The area of the beaches is separated from the agricultural land with a strip of pine trees and bushes and at the border with them, by a wet zone. Thanks to the variety of the territory, the flora and fauna of the region are very rich. The view is also very colorful. The economy is mainly based on the small family farms, which grow vegetables, fruit, and produce milk and meat. The products are entirely organic. The potential of the products is very big. Big farms which supply the trade within the country and abroad are being established lately. The environment is very clean, with no industry and considering the preferences of the consumers for organic products, even the big farms are concentrating on the production of “Bio” certified organic agricultural products.
Many inhabitants have reconstructed their characteristic homes and opened them to host tourists. Those tourists who mainly prefer the nature, the quiet, green places, who prefer the natural products and typical cooking, who prefer to learn new traditions, who like to meet those who make the carpets and special knitting, will find everything in Hamalle.
